Rocketry: The Nambi Effect Day 1 Box Office Collection: Madhavan’s Debut As Director Did Not Begin On A Smooth Note

Madhavan, quite famous as “Farhan” of 3 Idiots, debuts as a Director with his film, Rocketry: The Nambi Effect. The film is also written and produced by him along with him playing the lead role. The plot revolves around the life of an ISRO Scientist, Nambi Narayanan, and the false allegations of espionage placed upon him. The film was premiered at The Annual Film Festival: Cannes on 19th May 2022

The first trailer of the film was set in motion on April 1st and was released nationwide on 1st July 2022. The trailer got its screening at NASDAQ Billboard in Times Square, New York too. The film was released in different languages including Hindi, English, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Tamil. Rocketry has a powerful cast containing internationally acclaimed actors like Ron Donachie, Phyllis Logan, and Vincent Riotta with special appearances of Suriya and Bollywood Kind, Shah Rukh Khan.

Day 1 Box Office Collection of Rocketry: The Nambi Effect

Nevertheless, the movie started low at the box office. As the screens were limited on its release, it had managed to grab around Rs 75 lakhs on the first day. It also had a clash with the action-based film Rashtra Kavach Om starring Aditya Roy Kapoor which also is on the lower side of the box office.

The cinema was made public in PAN India and was shown on 2000+ screens domestically and around 2800+ screens worldwide with 5000 shows a day in India itself.

Rocketry: The Nambi Effect is produced by Varghese Moolan Pictures, 27th Investments, and TriColour Films. It was internationally distributed by Yash Raj Films and Phars Film Co. with domestically being distributed by Red Giant Movies and UFO Moviez.

The film got rave reviews from the fans and critics and the acting skills were also praised by the critics. Taking into account the arduous promotional activities by R Madhavan, it is quite expected that Rocketry might see a ray of sunshine in the upcoming days.
